Meetings

These are held at 7.30 pm on the third Thursday of the month (but not in July, August or December) in the Millennium Room, Cramond Kirk Hall, Glebe Road, Cramond.

The Community Council generally invites a speaker to their meetings in order to inform and allow the residents to discuss issues such as our environment, planning, the airport, roads etc. with relevant officials.

Planning Applications: The Community Council will review the applications and sites. speak to residents when requested, apply for Consultee Status if necessary, hold public meetings when appropriate and attend site visits. Information is then sent out to residents on the application, and where appropriate the Community Council response is issued to the Council. In due course a copy of the planning decision report issued to the neighbours when a planning application is decided..

Information: Information sent to the Community Council is placed on local notice boards when relevant to the area and all literature is left at the public meetings for residents to read and request copies. Information acquired by e-mail can also be passed on to residents who wish to be added to our global e-mailing list.

Legal Data: Community Council meetings are legally required to be held in public a minimum of seven times/year. The Community Council is also legally required to publish and display their minutes. All Community Council members must adhere to the City of Edinburgh's Code of Conduct. The Community Council has a legal status to comment on planning issues and licensing matters.
