A City For All Ages (ACFAA) is the city’s long term strategy to improve the quality of life for older people (aged 50+) through better opportunities and services to meet their needs, and reducing the discrimination and barriers which they face. The strategy is “holistic”, looking at all aspects of older people’s lives. It focuses on “active ageing” and other ways to prevent problems in older age, starting with people between the age of 50 and retirement. The strategy has addressed all the assets, including public services, which can help to make the city as inclusive as possible for the growing numbers of older people.
